regarding watching FBII again to review scenes, i certainly wouldn’t re-watch, as i did (rarely for me) FBI. This not being anything near as good as FBI and proof of that is how much more quickly i was ‘over it’ so to speak. Signifying that my emotional connection and belief in the characters was not as present nor as deep in FBI.
i will still maintain that FBII came perilously near to jumping the shark with it’s war agenda/point pushing and the semi-snuff scene or feel of it: of the legless soldier dying in front of us.
There was something amoral/immoral about that scene, the decision to include it and the whole ‘on-point message’ meets excusable cool as ‘hard hitting and edgy’ get out clause feel of it. Wonder how real serving soldiers would feel about that scene?..
